I hope everyone has had a good Lord's Day. I have missed being in the assembly of God's people. I have services to listen to which is good, but there is nothing like being together.
Today starts again with wondering on blood numbers. My whites stayed at .6, my hemoglobin was close to steady, but platelets rose for the first time. It has been a constant <10, the lowest they count here. They transfuse if you are at 10, and I was 11 today. That broke the string of 16 straight days with platelets. I was excited to see an uptick on platelets even a small one, and the whites holding.
Later in the morning my doctor came to see me. He was not nearly as excited as I was. His concern is that engraftment had a slow start, and is coming up very slow. Now he has started me on Neupogen, the same stimulator that Clarence was given to boost cell production. I was really surprised that he could do that with someone with an allogenic transplant (stem cells from another person). They can under certain conditions as an inpatient. So I received my first shot today. My bilirubin numbers are going down so that is good news too.
Prayer requests
1. For continued blessing on the engraftment process.
2. That liver function remain strong.
3. That we continue to count our daily blessings.
Great Thanksgiving song, PH 316 Now Thank We All Our God
1. Now thank we all our God. With heart and hands and voices,
Who wondrous things has done, In whom His world rejoices;
Who, from our mother's arms, Has blessed us on our way
With countless gifts of love, And still is ours today.
2. O may this bounteous God, Through all our life be near us,
With ever joyful hearts And blessed peace to cheer us,
And keep us in His grace, And guide us when perplexed,
And free us from all ills In this world and the next.
3. All praise and thanks to God The Father now be given,
The Son, and Him who reigns With them in highest heaven,
The on eternal God, Whom earth and heaven adore;
For thus it was , is now, And shall be evermore.
