Transplant 2 Day 25

This is Karen, posting for my parents tonight.  Dad was given a few hours' leave of absence from the hospital this afternoon, allowing him and Mom to spend some time with us at home.  Mike and Rachel, Sarah and Jeremy, Andrea, myself, and all the little boys were able to be home with them!  David and Bethany hope to visit with them tomorrow.  We kept the little ones downstairs in the rec room or playing outside, while we were able to spend good time together upstairs.  It was wonderful to have a little bit of normalcy for a few hours.  While Dad thoroughly enjoyed being home and especially enjoyed seeing the little grandboys run around, he is very easily tired and they are heading back to the hospital now.

There were no signs of engraftment again today, and Dad's hemoglobin and platelet counts dropped.  He is expecting to receive transfusions again tomorrow for both.

We thank you for your prayers and support!  Please continue to pray for strength, healing, and patience for Dad.  These days are especially difficult for him - pray that he may rest and find peace in the care of our faithful Lord.

Glad you had some time together today, that "bit of normalcy" Thanks Karen for sharing,... And witnessing to the faithfulness of the Lord our God. Lord we pray for your strength, healing and patience for Karen's Dad please grant him rest and peace in your care. Please also grant your healing power to Karen's Dad engraftment would be a really nice first step Lord (from a human point of view), we know it is within your power to do even more, so we don't want to limit you, strengthen our faith Lord, help us to draw closer to you, help us all to be agreed in your saving power, in your healing power, help us to be "sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see" Heb 11:1 Thankyou Lord in Jesus name Amen.
