Transplant + 10

Another good day was had at the little pink room in the hospital.  After a early bout of nausea my day settled really nice.  Received my platelet boost for the day and got busy waiting for engraftment.  I continue to do very well with no spikes of fever since the Sunday bout.  The dietitians are pleased as well.  The fact that I am still eating, albeit not a lot, is keeping me off IV feeds and keeping all systems moving.  I get the comments from all the nurses, that I am doing so well.  I too, am surprised but obviously well pleased at how things have gone through this period.  Everything at this point looks positive.  What a great blessing!

Psalm 125:1,2 ESV
Those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion,
which cannot be moved, but abides forever.
As the mountains surround Jerusalem,
so the LORD surrounds his people,
from this time forth and forevermore.

Prayer Requests
1.  Give thanks for how well I am doing and that it continue.
2.  Give thanks for helping hands at home and the farm.
3.  Pray for the engraftment process as time nears to see the first signs.

Now that you are nearing the time of possibly beginning to see/hear about the results, we just wanted to send you an extra measure of strength and partience. There are obvious limitations to this comparison, but for me I imagine that it may be comparable to going overdue with a pregnancy. You can patiently wait for 9 long months, but go overdue for a week and it feels longer than the whole prenancy! :)
So happy for you that you have been blessed 'til now with moderately good health, such that you are still able to keep up your strength by eating.
Will definitely be keeping you in thought and prayer.
