Transplant 2 Day - 5

After a fair night sleep on Tuesday night, last night will be classified as mediocre.  My roommate was not  well, and I had issues of my own, so spent enough time awake and restless.  Uncomfortable from central line placement, body adjusting to chemo and diet changes.  Blood samples at 4:45, then a little more sleep.
Today was relatively calm medically.  Had Day 3 of chemotherapy plus a large bolus of saline to flush out dying cells, which they expect are cancer cells.  This is all decided by blood work.  Hemoglobin climbed a little after 4 units of reds in the last 2 days up to 74.  Platelets were at 18, so none today. Whites down to 1.5.
My nurse pushed for me to  be moved because of the health of my room mate so at 12.30 I was moved to a private room in the regular wing, so not a isolation room but private.  I am very thankful.
Had some visitors today.  Jeremy and Sarah, Andrea, Karen and Barb’s brother Ben.  A great day in the cancer ward.
Our end of day devotions used Leviticus 11:44a “For I am the LORD your God”.  Spurgeon does a great job of describing God’s character and attributes, then finishes with this great line;  Sorrowful one, rejoice! If God is yours, what more do you need?  Pray that we may all carry and give it all to our Saviour.
