Transplant 2 Day - 3

By God's grace a new day again today. I had a good night sleep, so a good start to the day.  My counts continued the drop as expected.  Whites are now down to an effective 0 of <.5 , platelets are at 12 and hemoglobin at 67.  Transfusions will be put off until Sunday as we have a busy day of intravenous work planned.

Mike and Rachel, Dave and Bethany, and Karen came to visit us around mid morning.  Had a wonderful visit together, Barb went and had lunch with them before they again came up to the room.  They were around to see the last of the chemotherapy being administered.

We spent some of our time talking of God's plan for us, where that could lead - to healing or home.  We reminded ourselves of God's faithfulness to us, His promises sure and shown to us in the last year and even now. Along with the hardest trials are some of the greatest blessings, designed to lead us closer to God.  Our  prayer is that it may be God's will to use this time for my healing, and that He will cause us to cling to our Lord and all the promises of God. He will not forsake us, leave us, and will take us to the end.

The company all left prior to the beginning of the bio drug (rabbit) starting.  It begins with a couple of drugs to help my body cope with the the animal product.  It is a small amount today run over 6 hours and if all goes well the next two days will have much larger product amounts over fewer hours.  A hematologist overseeing the administration of the bio drug asked if I had a craving for carrots.  I replied with - No, but I sure want to stamp my foot.  I have a minimum of 2.5 hours yet on IV tonight with their close monitoring.  I am doing well with it until now.

We give thanks for you who uphold us in prayer before our God, a good gift of being part of the Body of Christ. Remember us today as I described earlier in the post.
