Transplant + 15

No big news today.  Numbers have not changed yet so platelets again.  Hemoglobin has been steady for a couple of days but the staff here say that it is not important for engraftment, the red blood cells are the last thing to get a jump from the new stem cells. I am struggling with nausea first thing in the morning for a while now, my type of morning sickness. Checking some websites on allogenic stem cell transplants, where they say 2 weeks is the earliest to see results. The team here may be thinking that since I have done so well that I will be on the early side.  I remember on Day +7 them saying "Half way there".  So Lord, grant me patience and good spirits.

Today I had two naps, and I won't last long tonight either.  So I made a new rule for myself - when tired go to bed.  Was able to listen to a service today.  Was able to see my daughter Andrea briefly today too, a good blessing.

Prayer Requests:
1.  That we give over our anxiousness about results, to the Lord.
2.  That we may see results soon.
3.  Give thanks that the Lord has been our strong tower.

Psalm 63: 3-8  ESV
Because your steadfast love is better than life,
my lips will praise you.
So I will bless you as long as I live;
in your name I will lift up my hands.
My soul will be satisfied as with fat and rich food,
and my mouth will praise you with joyful lips,
when I remember you upon my bed,
and meditate on you in the watches of the night;
for you have been my help,
and in the shadow of your wings I will sing for joy.
My soul clings to you;
your right hand upholds me.

When I read your blog it reminds me of this saying that I have seen lately:
"When you are waiting for the door to open, praise God in the hallway.". While you are waiting in the 'hallway', you have shown us how to praise God as well. Thank you for being such an awesome and gracious testimony to us all.

I love your new rule, Richard! I had to grin at that. :)
Just make rules as you go along. :)

I've been following your blog all along, and my heart sings and soars at your love for the Lord, your trust in Him.......
Doesn't mean it's all easy, no way, but that's where our strength comes from, from Him!

I simply rejoice in your family's love and trust in our Lord.
